Erwin Windu Pranata
Erwin shows giant Mighty Beans. He presented images of famous figures in the art world and popular culture. The craftsmanship that he shows in these works deserve a compliment. The people, who are familiar to the visual information of contemporary art, will likely be able to see that the giant mighty beans of Erwin’s are an appropriation to works of Warhol, Basquiat, Pollock, Mondrian and also The Beatles. It is not hard to see Erwin’s work as an artwork, as an implication of the chosen images, the methods of work, and the much exaggerated size of these mighty beans.
